Eligibility criteria for Poster Competition

  1. All abstracts submitted must be in English.
  2. Once an abstract is selected, at least one of the authors of the poster MUST register for the conference. Payment for conference registration should reach the Conference Secretariat by 6th June 2022.
  3. Participants may submit more than ONE abstract.
  4. The MDES Scientific Committee will review and reserve the right to decide on the acceptance of abstracts.
  5. The abstract must be ORIGINAL and has NOT BEEN PUBLISHED/PRESENTED at any international or national conference.

Abstract Format

  1. Abstract must not be more than 250 words.
  2. It must not have images, graphs and tables.
  3. Use numerals to represent numbers except when beginning a sentence.
  4. All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use.
  5. Abstract title must be in capital letters. Title should be brief and clearly indicate the content of the abstract.
  6. Presenting author’s name must be in FULL and bold.
  7. Only abstracts that conform to the given guidelines will be accepted.
Abstract should include:
  • Title
  • Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Discussion / Conclusion

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  1. All abstracts must be submitted online via our abstract submission system. Please ensure you check your data carefully before submitting as changes or additions will not be accepted after 24th September 2022.
  2. Abstracts must be submitted by 24th September 2022.  Late submissions or incomplete abstracts will not be accepted.
  3. Upon submission, abstract applicants will receive a notification of receipt from the Conference Secretariat by email. If you do not receive any acknowledgement reply, please contact the Conference Secretariat via email at secretariat@mdesconference2022.com
  4. The Conference Secretariat will notify participants regarding the results of their submission by 31st May 2022.

Abstract Review & Awards

  1. All abstracts will be reviewed by the MDES Scientific Committee.
  2. There will be awards for the 3 best posters. Cash prizes and certificates will be given to the winners.
    • 1st Prize : RM 1,000
    • 2nd Prize : RM 750
    • 3rd Prize : RM 500
  3. Successful poster presenters will be notified by the Conference Secretariat and informed of the judging process, time to put up the posters during the conference and all relevant details.
  4. Judges’ decisions are final.  No appeal will be entertained.

e-Poster Presentation
  • Presentation in the Poster Session will be numbered as listed in the programme.
  • The top of the final poster must have a label indicating its title, author(s), and institutions. Title headings can be in all capitals or in `titlecase’.
  • Use attractive graphics, colour and fonts to highlight the main points of your study.  
  • Your poster must consist of only 1 slide and should be composed with digital technical requirements as specified below.

Dimensions in Pixel Minimum recommended size (format W x H) is 1125 x 2000px and maximum is 2250 x 4000px.

  • All poster file submission should be done through the presenting author’s account in the Congress website portal by July 4, 2022.
  • There will be an active `Question & Answer’ chat accessible to congress delegates and the presenter throughout the conference and for 2 weeks after the conference.
  • The shortlisted e-Posters for awards will be shown in the allocated Congress programme session. The shortlisted presenters will be subjected to 5 minutes of LIVE discussion with a panel of appointed judges.
